Christina Haack was conceived in Anaheim, California. Her career began in real estate after graduating from high school. Tarek al Moussa was the potential future husband. The couple had a very successful business until 2008 in which real estate developers or house flippers as well as other people went broke. Due to the financial crisis, Tarek and Christina El Moussa almost lost the entirety of their wealth. They moved from a costly home, where they paid $6,000 a month, to a modest home that cost just $700. Their business as well as the economy in general slowly recovered. HGTV and Rise to Fame Tarek enlisted his friend to aid in making an HGTV audition video in the year 2011. The tape showed Tarek as well as Christina who were working in tandem to turn a house. Pie Town Productions executives received the tape. They were enthralled by Christina and Tarek's love story. They signed an official HGTV deal in the year 2012.
